Beautiful creatures?

Well, I just have to show you some photos I took of some beautiful dragonflies that I saw whilst I was camping (I know, I know me camping - rather hilarious really!) during the Easter long weekend. Since I moved here, I have been fascinated by the wildlife and this is yet another example. Their striking colours are simply amazing!
Check them out:

Aren't they amazing!
Now for some not so beautiful creatures . . .
Its was my beautiful boys' birthdays recently and they are really into all sorts of things, though sometimes seem to be quite alien to me! So I created these cards for them, I used the "Make a Monster" stamp set by Stampin' Up! I don't use this nearly as often as I should, it is so much fun to use. I also borrowed a quote from the now retired "Lots of Bots" stamp set, which I unfortunately do not own, so I typed my own on the computer.

Aren't they cute! The boys loved them.
I used Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Basic Black inks and cardstock, watercolour paper & Staz on ink. I also added googly eyes for added dimension. All adhesives from Stampin' Up!

Until next time,

Yet another glorious gift

I am a bit excited that people are actually looking at my blog! It's so wonderful to know that I have like minded crafting buddies. A BIG THANK YOU goes out to all those people who have left comments regarding my blog, VERY exciting! So lucky me! I am being sent the gift of friendship!
Today I have one more pressie to show you I created for a dear friend's birthday. Once again I have used the gorgeous SAB 2012 Everyday Enchantment DSP (which unfortunately is no longer available).
This is another pendant, I'm loving creating these and have so many ideas floating through my head for future creations in this line.
I also made a matching card to accompany the pressie.

Here are the Stampin' Up! products I have used: Everyday Enchantment DSP, Real Red, Very Vanilla cardstock, Soft Suede, Real Red, Pool Party inks, Stampin' Dimensionals, Pearls, Snail adhesive, Sticky Strip.
Until next time,
Inky Claws!

More Pressies

Well I have got lots to show you, as I had lots of birthdays to catch up on. The gifts and cards that I have to show you today are some gifts I sent to two of my dear Sydney crafting buddies. They actually share the exact same birthday and age! Amazing!
As these gifts were sent late I decided to create a bit of fun for the girls, by including a little project for them to complete together after opening their cards and gifts. We often used to craft together and I really miss those special times we used to share. So I thought I create a special craft task for them to do - Mini magnets and a gift box to present them in. Along with instructions on how to do the task, I included snacks, tea bags (for having a cuppa without me!) and a "suitcase" filled with chockies to share. The girls were pre-warned via email that they would need to prepare a morning or afternoon that week where by they would open their parcel and 'have a cuppa on me'. They were told what crafting equipment they would need in the email I had sent and detailed instructions which they were asked to follow in order. Some of the instructions included "Put the kettle on and while it's boiling, talk about how much you miss me" and "Now open the suitcase and talk about when you're planning to visit me"! Aren't I cheeky!
Any way the girls had a good laugh, which was part of my plan. Happy belated 50th Girls!
Here's some pickies of my gifts:

                                                        The 'suitcase' I designed.
I better head off to bed, I have a very BIG weekend ahead.
Hoot, hooty Hoot!

As some of you know, I haven't been all that well lately and so have unfortunately I have fallen behind with many of my dear friends birthday presents & cards. Last week I had been feeling a little better, so I was able to complete some presents and actually send them out before the end of March.

All items are made using Stampin' Up! Products (other than ribbon, that I just had to use as it matched the papers perfectly!).
