Woo Hoot! The new Annual Catalogue is here!

Well another Stampin' Up! year has begun and yes, that does mean that there is new catalogue out with LOTS of scrummy stamping supplies, gorgeous new stamp sets and pretty, pretty products.(You can view or download it from my right side bar)
Yes my Wish List is once again never ending. Even the six new In Colours sound yummy; Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantelope & Coastal Cabana.
There are however some things from Stampin' Up! to note when ordering from this catalogue:
  • Cardstock and Pad Kit (item 132281, page 139): The price for the Cardstock & Pad Kit is listed incorrectly as $47.95. The correct price is $93.95.
  • World Map Stamp (item 130342 for wood, 130345 for clear, page 23): The stamp includes two offensive words, 'Negroland' and 'Cafreria', which have since been removed. The artwork we used for the image was taken from a historical map in the Library of Congress and the words were not noticed until recently. We hope it is understood that our intent has never been to belittle or offend our demonstrators and customers. We sincerely apologize for any insult or affront resulting from this oversight. We have updated the World Map Stamp, and anticipate that the stamp will be ready to order sometime in August.
  • Label Pop 'n Cuts (item 130160, page 188): We have recently learned that the Label Pop 'n Cuts Die was incorrectly produced--the die cuts instead of scores across the score line. Our supplier repaired the defect and we are replacing our inventory. The new and improved die will be ready to order 12 July
  • Wood-Mount Cases (item 127551 for full, 127552 for half, page 197): The new full and half wood-mount cases (sold in packs of four) have been delayed. You will still get your new wood-mount stamps sets in these cases, but we will be unable to fulfil orders for the additional wood-mount cases when the catalogue goes live. Stay tuned for when they will be available to order
  • Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Addition (item 132986, page 176): We will announce when this item is available for order

I will be holding my usual "New Catalogue Launch Party" really soon, which is always lots of fun. If you are interested in attending please email me at jwstamps@tpg.com.au

I promise to upload some of my pretties really soon. I apologise for the long break between posts.

Until then, get those claws inky  & stamp!

Told you I'd be back!

Well, as promised I am back with some craftiness - yay! I am very excited about what I have for "show & tell" today. I have planned this for so long and had all the frames sitting waiting for the new seasonal catalogue papers and some serious crafty "mojo" to return.
In this case, I must say it did not fail me! I am very happy with this new creation, it is pretty and oh so practical! In our house with two frantic adults and three busy kiddies, I felt I needed little more than just a calendar on my study wall! I like knowing exactly what is on for the week ahead and we have now been using this weekly calendar really well - well I have been anyway! On the Sunday before a new school week begins I wipe away the previous week and I transfer all the daily info for the week ahead; who's going where, who's having a friend to play, when swimming, music, assemblies, appointments and other activities are on. I write it straight onto the glass of each frame with a dry-erase whiteboard marker - I love it.
All products I have used are from Stampin' Up! I have used the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack (new Seasonal catty), Rasperry Ripple, Night of Navy & Gumball Green cardstock and inks, Summer Silhouettes & Creative Elements stamp sets, Typeset Alphabet Bigz and of course snail.

I am really pleased with the end result. What do you think?
Untill next time,
Ink up those claws & get stamping!

Woo Hoot! My "Craft Mojo" Makes a Come Back!

Well yes, I am back. Today I've got a few pictures to show you of my latest crafty creations. I held my Seasonal Catalogue launch on the weekend and as you can see I made a little gift for every person that attended. As they entered my house they picked up a copy of the new seasonal catalogue, a copy of the Sale-a-Bration catalogue, a wishlist and one of the little treats above.
I  demonstrated a Fancy Favour die-cut box using Rick Razzleberry cardstock, Very Vanilla cardstock stamped with the "Thanks a Ton" sentiment from the Patterned Occasions Sale-a-Bration stamp set. I carefully coloured the flower using stampin' write  markers in Gumball Green & So Saffron. I also used the Bigz Trims Die to imitate grass and some Gumball Green stitched ribbon for a handle. I then filled the box with yummies and this became my lucky door prize. Here is what it looked like:
Finally everyone got to complete the make & take which was a lovely card using the new "Cloudy Day" Textured Impressions Embossing folder (LOVE IT!), "Oh Hello", "Hearts a Flutter" & "Papillion Potpurri" stamp sets, Hearts a Flutter framelits & Extra-Large Oval punch, Elegant Butterfly punch and the NEW Bitty Butterfly punch (LOVE IT too!). The colours I used were all from the subtles collection; Baja Breeze, Perfect Plum & Pretty In Pink.
What do you think?
Well that's all for this post, but there's more to come, so stay tuned!
Yours in ink,
Joelle

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Yes, yes, I know, you thought I had dropped off the face of the earth! I know I have been slack on the blogging front, but 4th term with my kids was just frantic! Yes, I was Princess Craft-a-lot over the Christmas period, and believe me, did I craft! Unfortunately nothing for myself, gifts for the preschool teachers, teachers, playgroup assistants, library ladies, bus drivers, neighbours, family, friends, the list never seemed to end. I was also teaching 60 children and their teachers to make reindeer boxes, making pizzas with 35 kids at the local preschool, writing & coordinating a local playgroup Christmas Craft program, making 83 Christmas cards, creating calendars and coordinating a ridiculous social calendar (and that was just for the kids!) Although I did take photos of many of my creations and classes I actually failed to blog about them. I promise, I will try harder this year.
What has really got me inspired to blog this month is that exciting time of year in the Stampin' Up! world, yes that's right; Sale-a-bration!!! WOO HOOT!!!
Ooooooooh I love this time of year and in their 25th anniversary year they have released a bumper amount of FREE products (Check it out HERE) for every $100 you spend on products from the current 2012-1013 catalogue & or the NEW Seasonal catalogue (there are links to each of these in the column on the right-hand side of my blog). There are 19 different products to choose from this Sale-a-bration!
Sale-a-bration runs from 22nd January through until 22nd March 2013.
Hopefully I will be back later this week 2 with some pretty things to show you.
Until then,
Get those claws inky! GO ON!
Joelle
