As some of you know, I haven't been all that well lately and so have unfortunately I have fallen behind with many of my dear friends birthday presents & cards. Last week I had been feeling a little better, so I was able to complete some presents and actually send them out before the end of March.
The card and gifts below are gifts that I made for my dear friend and wonderful upline THE GORGEOUS Marelle Taylor. She is such a lovely, lovely person and friend, I just had to get these gifts to her even though they are VERY belated!
Here they are:
The large parcel is actually a large block of Lindt Gold Chocolate (scrummy), the box at the back held the necklace I made to match the set (one of my latest creations - so exciting!), box at the front is a slider box that contained a gorgeous set of earrings I purchased at an adorable local shop. All items are made using Stampin' Up! Products (other than ribbon, that I just had to use as it matched the papers perfectly!).
SU! Products used: Fresh Vintage stamp set, Happiest Birthday Wishes (Hostess) stamp set, Pocket Silhouettes Stamp set, Baja Breeze, Old Olive & Very Vanilla Cardstock, Baja Breeze & Old Olive inks, pearls, Snail, Sticky Strip, Stampin' dimensionals, Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper - 2012 Sale-a-bration (Love it, love it, love it! Unfortunately no longer available though), Antique Brads.

More Creations!
Well today I have something a little different.
For months now, I have been making bunting to hang around my market stall, for my daughter's bedroom and even my boys asked me to make some for their room! So with two of my beautiful nieces having their birthdays this month, I decided to make some for their bedrooms too, along with a couple of other little gifts.

I also made cards to co-ordinate with their presents:
The Stampin' Up Products I have used are: Happiest Birthday Wishes (Hostess set), Pennant Parade stamp set, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Real Red, Old Olive (cardstock & inks), Top Note Die, Petite Pennants Builder Punch, Bakers Twine, Mini Brads, Snail, Stampin' Dimensionals & Sticky Strip.
Non SU! Products - letter stamps, fabric in real red card, as I cut this from the same fabric I sewed the bunting from.
Hope you like my creations, I was quite proud of them.

Twit Twooo Have I got a cake to show you!
Today is my birthday (a rather 'significant' one), and last night some of my GORGEOUS sewing friends organised a surprise party for me at a lovely local restaurant. I was spoiled with beautiful company, cards and gifts. One gift was THE MOST UNBELIEVABLE cake created by my dear friend Bryer. The girls all know I am just a tad owl crazy, hence, the cutest owl cake ever, made with love, creativity and extremely hard work. Check it out:
How cute is she?!
The cake inside was a delicious SIX layered chocolate cake - YUM! Though it was extremely upsetting to have to cut through this glorious work of art. This girl is one talented cookie! . . .Speaking of cookies, she makes those too! So if you have a special occassion to celebrate and you live on the Far North Coast, contact her via her website at : www.passioncookie.com.au
Or if you don't live on the coast check out her website anyway, she has made some truly amazing cakes.
How lucky am I?
And a VERY special thanks goes out to my dear, dear friend Fiona, who organised the WHOLE night.
Hoot, hooty, hoot, hoot!
Claws in ink,
Joelle

Some of my work as promised
Well finally, I am trying to get back on track with my blogging. So, as promised, I will try to put some of my work up each time on my blog.
Below are some pictures of some wedding invitations I did a little while ago. The bride-to-be requested that the colours be red, black and white. So I got busy and this is what the end result looked like:
I only had to make 40 and so got a little carried away and decided to make a matching box to present the invites in. I thought it would add a nice touch and that it could be used by the bride and groom to be as a keepsake box of their wedding day.
I used basic black, real red, whisper white (cardstock & 5/8 " ribbons), shimmer paper, pearls, Elegant Lines Textured Impressions Embossing folder, Snail, Sticky strip. All products available through Stampin' Up!
What do you think?

Yes! I am still alive!
Hello out there,
Yes I am still alive! As many of you know I have been very unwell of late and having lots of difficulty getting tests and into specialist appointments in Queensland. Mmmmmmm. . . . not fun at all. Unfortunately this has prevented me doing as much of the things I love (CRAFT! and enjoying life) and therefore, I have not been blogging very much either.
Things have improved a little of late and so I thought I'd simply add a little post as a sign of exciting things to come.
Lately I have been working on some belated birthday gifts for some dear friends of mine. I will post the pickies as soon as they are all completed and I know the special people have recieved them. I also made some gifts for some of my darling nieces with cards to accompany them, so I'll post those too.
Not to forget the Wedding Invitations I was asked to do a while back, which looked absolutely gorgeous if I must say so myself! So there's actually LOTS to post and I will do it gradually over the next couple of weeks, if my health is o.k.

I also just wanted to let you know that the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-bration will be ending THIS SATURDAY, 31st March. So if there is anything you wanted to order from that mini, we are in the absolute FINAL days. Stampin' Up! has also informed us that the Simply Adorned jewellery collection and the Stitched Stockings stamp set and co-ordinating punch (as seen in the Summer mini), will NOT be available again, so if you have your eye on any of these, order now! Don't forget that for every $100 you spend you get a FREE product from the Sale-a-bration catalogue, but only until this Saturday.

Happy New Year - Happy NEW CLASSES!
Well 2012 is upon us already! HAPPY NEW YEAR! Don't you just love fireworks? I certainly do and I was pretty pleased with how these photos came out. What do you think?
I hope you all have a happy and healthy 2012.
Now is the time to make all those New Year resolutions, so my theory is make them fun ones (like do lots more crafting!) to balance out those boring hard to achieve ones like lose weight and get fit! At least you might stick with the craft one is my thinking - hee hee.
Which brings me to my next point - I have posted my classes for February and March 2012 in the left hand column of this blog. I will try to keep these updated as new ones crop up, so make sure you check. You do need to book and pay for classes in advance so that I may order materials required for the class and also keep a 'balanced' family life too. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me.
I have also updated my blog with the current mini catalogue link and current 2011-2012 catalogue which you can browse through (these are on the right-hand side of this blog).
It is also a very exciting Stampin' Up! month as Sale-a-bration also commences on Tuesday, 24th January and runs right up until Saturday, 31st March 2012. This is an AMAZING promotion as for every $100 you spend you get a free stamp set, brad pack or paper pack from a special Sale-a-Bration catalogue! WOO HOOT!
Anyway, now that I have expressed my exciting news,
I've really got to fly.
